DDC Launches Its Sustainability Strategy: Deliver Good Fruits

At DDC, sustainability is already part of the way we work.
We recently launched Deliver Good Fruits, our Sustainability Strategy designed to guide us toward more conscious growth, integrating the planet, people, and our operations into one shared vision for the future.

At DDC, we firmly believe that exporting high-quality fruit is only part of our role. What truly drives us is the desire to deliver good fruits — to the planet, to people, and to the future.

With that conviction, we developed our Sustainability Strategy: a roadmap designed to guide our decisions across multiple dimensions, aligned with the highest global standards and the vision of Manulife.

This strategy is built on four key pillars, each with specific action areas, key tasks, and measurable indicators:

Environment: Focused on climate and conservation in our fields.
People: Focused on people, their safety, and respectful practices.
Operations: Committed to quality, eco-efficiency, and the incorporation of new technologies.
Business: Driven by strong, market-recognized business practices.

We are already implementing real initiatives ranging from energy efficiency projects, training programs, and technological upgrades to community engagement, supplier evaluation, waste management, and the development of policies on diversity, water, and biodiversity.

And this is just the beginning.

A key milestone in this strategy was the formation of the DDC Sustainability Committee, led by our Chief Executive Officer, Juan Pablo Casas, and composed of leaders from across the company: Johanna Espinoza (Deputy Manager of Sustainability and Food Safety), Loreto Cid (Chief Quality Officer), Montserrat Lewin (Chief Human Resources Officer), Valentina Darraidou (Brand Manager), Rodrigo Peñailillo (Head of Risk Prevention and Health) and Javier Zárate (Deputy Manager of Control and Management)

“Deliver Good Fruits” is more than a strategy — it’s a call to action with purpose.
A way to grow by taking care of what truly matters, and to move forward together toward a more responsible future.
